How to Plan Your Life

Why would you want to plan your life? This is a good question to ask. So many people want spontaneity in their life or don’t want to effort of planning their life that they simply would rather float down this river.

Then they look back later on in their life and they wonder why they didn’t get anything done. They start to blame other factors that could have caused their lack of success often they blame the rich for the reason they don’t have any money saved up. Many people think that the rich actively sought them out so they could take their money.

When in reality it is because they made no effort to make any more money than what they needed at the time. They failed to plan.

The Vision

What is the coolest thing that could happen in the next 5 years? Many times we fail to let out minds expand and look at all the possibilities. Often people just look at the surface and plan on the first thing that comes to mind. For example, it would be cool if you made $100,000 a year. They stop right there. Let your mind keep going down that path. Why would it be cool? Besides being able to change your oil when it’s needed. What other reasons and benefits would come from having the type of income that large?

You don’t even have to go 5 years out. What would the perfect year look like for you? Look at those possibilities and can you turn that dream that thought into individual parts? Can they be broken down into separate tasks?

The Habits

After you have your goals and aspirations divided out. It is time to plan out how you will reach that goal each day. You want to turn your quest for the competition of your goal into a habit. Make it so that you can’t sleep unless you take that needed step.

The video suggests not going overboard and track no more than 3 habits per goal. This will help keep you from getting overwhelmed with all the gotta do’s.

That way you can ask did I do XY&Z without realizing that you missed k, q, h, and f. So the old KISS method comes into play yet again. Don’t know the KISS method? KISS is an acronym for Keep It Simple Stupid. Because I love to overcomplicate stuff.

The Followthrough

Finally, implement those habits. Make sure you have people you are accountable to. Yeah, some people may think that they don’t need to have others telling them what to do. If that is the case that is fine. Then again if you are having trouble completing your goals then maybe, just maybe you need someone to help you on your journey. The vast majority of us need an accountability partner or a Mastermind Group.

So watch and learn a new way you can plan 2020 it is just around the corner and time is running out. Do you want to know the cool thing about this? It is never too late to start.
