10 podcasts for men

Well Well well. It is the 30th of September and that means today is International Podcast day!!!! This is the time of the year where We get to celebrate the glory of podcasting and the massive impact it is having on mainstream media. I mean you have the news stations bashing the Joe Rogan Experience because he is pulling in more listeners than two of the news organizations bring in a day. The power of conversations and all the knowledge that is pouring forth from people’s radios and earbuds is simply awe-inspiring.

There are a lot of great shows out there that cover every possible genre. From the true crime shows that simply dominate to podcasts about podcasting. Yet I wanted to narrow down a little bit to a topic that would help men. So here are 10 shows I recommend men listen to

The GreatMan.tv Podcast

This is one of two shows Stephen Mansfield puts out. Stephen is known for covering masculinity and topics men need to think about while transversing this world. Masculinity for Stephen Mansfield is his passion and what drives him. You hear it when he approaches different masculine topics. He does it as a moderate politically speaking so his tone isn’t so much in your face as it is a matter of fact. Stephen has many points about how to be more manly and masculine in your everyday life that I agree with and have taken many of his views and put them to use.

New Man

Now I am a fan of Tripp Lanier and his New Man Podcast. He is the reason I got into coaching in the first place. He showed me that there is a place for masculinity coaching and he covers the how. From facing your fears to having the sex you want. Tripp covers the bases. He doesn’t use flowery language and his personality and humor shine through. His show is beyond the macho jerk and the new age wimp.

Order of Man

Ryan Michler host the Order of Man Podcast. Ryan cranks out 3 episodes a week about masculinity and how we as men can restore it. So, you can see this is always on his mind.

He talks to high-performing men. These are people like Jocko Wilink, Ben Shapiro, Tim Tebow, Coyote Peterson, and more. He doesn’t always agree with his guests and they have some powerful discussions because of it.

He does a Q&A where the listeners can send in their questions, but be careful if you ask a weak question you will get a weak answer.

Then each Friday Ryan releases his Friday Fieldnote and this is Ryan just sharing his thoughts on a particular topic.

Men of Honor

Now, this podcast is on a small hiatus because the host Michael J. Durkin is actually running for a local office. Yet, it still is a worthy podcast to listen to. He covers many aspects that it takes to become a man of honor and has many excellent points as to what it takes to be a man. He has taken the site down for the moment but the files are still available so the link is to the podcast index page and you can get links to the common platforms from there.

What is masculinity in a Godly view? That is what John Eldridge talks about in his podcast Wild at Heart. John’s podcast is a heavy Christian view but the bits of advice are solid.
