With all that is happening this year, it is important for us to stop, at least for a short while, and look around and be grateful for all the good that has happened in your life. Gratitude is important for the all-around health of a man.
Ways to find gratitude
Finding gratitude is often like working a muscle. It takes time patients practice and persistence. So If you start trying to find topics to be grateful about don’t worry if you have a hard time coming up with a lot.
When you start to open the door to what you’re grateful for the inspirations will start pouring out. It can actually surprise you how fast the gratitude muscle grows. Don’t be afraid to repeat a gratitude like your wife and kids.
There are a couple of different techniques you can employ to build up that gratitude muscle. Here are three ways for you to build your gratitude.
One of the best ways to build your gratitude is to write what you are grateful for down in a journal. This way you are able to see what you are grateful for.
You can use any binder or spiral notebook to write your gratifications. You are able to write as much or as little as you like. Yet I would recommend that you stretch yourself to try to think of three to 5 things you are grateful for.
Using this method allows for you to review what you have written. You can then build on each day and reach new insights as to your gratitude and thankfulness.
This is a very free-form way of finding what you are grateful for. You can easily find a quiet place and spend 5 minutes and think of what to be grateful for. From there you can grow and explore other areas of your life as you are practicing your mindfulness.
This is good for those who like to practice mindfulness or meditation. You can write it down afterwards but you do run the chance of forgetting what you thought of
